WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT?
For your first appointment we have you book a full set. Once you have received your full set, fill appointments are needed every 2-4 weeks for as long as you wish to keep your extensions. Fills are meant to maintain your eyelash extensions.
HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
After a full set of lashes has been applied, fill appointments are needed to maintain the lashes. Your natural lashes go through a shedding cycle, therefore your extensions fall off with them. Fills allow us to apply lash extensions to natural lashes that have recently grown in. When applied by a professional, fills are needed every 2-4 weeks, depending on your activity and day-to- day routine.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I COME IN FOR A FILL?
We recommend getting a fill every 2-4 weeks. A lash fill is needed to compensate for any lashes that have fallen due to the natural cycle of your own lashes. Fill appointments require approximately 60-90 minutes.
CAN I APPLY MASCARA TO MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
One of the many benefits of eyelash extensions is that you do not need to use mascara! The extensions actually give the appearance of wearing mascara. If you must apply mascara, however, only use water-based mascara. DO NOT USE WATER-PROOF MASCARA as it can dissolve the bonding agent used, thus shorten the life of your eyelash extensions. At Skin, Brows & Lashes, we carry Mascara by NovaLash® which is specifically formulated for use on our extensions without effecting the adhesive.
If applying mascara over your extensions, be sure to apply no further than halfway down the lashes to keep away from the adhesive.

When applied by a professional, eyelash extensions will not harm your natural lashes. Proper application and technique allows for natural lashes to grow and flourish while having lash extensions on.

Yes. NovaLash adhesive, which is the brand of adhesive we use here at Skin, Brows & Lashes, is waterproof and oil proof, thus allowing you to shower, swim, exercise, and go about your daily activities immediately after your appointment.
I HEARD ELSEWHERE I COULDN’T USE OIL ON MY LASHES AND THAT I HAD TO WAIT TO GET THEM WET?
This is an out dated myth in the lash industry. At Skin, Brows & Lashes, we inform our clients that there are no restrictions of avoiding oil & water after receiving eyelash extensions services. We also carry retail products that will aid in keeping your lashes clean and fresh, thus allowing greater retention.
CAN THE EXTENSIONS BE REMOVED?
Yes, they can easily be removed by your lash artist. Please do not attempt to remove any lashes on your own as you could damage your natural lashes.
CAN MY LASHES BE CUSTOMIZED TO A LOOK OF MY CHOOSING?
Your lash artist will hold a consultation at the beginning of your full set appointment and discuss with you what look you are trying to achieve with getting eyelash extensions. Whether it be a more natural look, dramatic look, or something more believable our lash artist are able to tailor to your desired looked.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO IN ORDER TO PREPARE FOR MY FULL SET APPOINTMENT?
Lashes should be free of any dust, oil, or makeup build up so remove any eye makeup with a mild cleanser. Oily lashes cause the lash extensions not to bond to the natural lash.
CAN I STILL GET LASH EXTENSIONS IF I WEAR CONTACTS?
Yes! Since lash extensions do not touch your skin, they will not interfere with your contacts or normal daily activities.
WOULD I BE ABLE TO GET A LASH LIFT WITH MY LASH EXTENSIONS ON?
No. A lash lift service is not able to be performed while you have eyelash extensions on.
WOULD I BE ABLE TO GET A LASH TINT WITH MY LASH EXTENSIONS ON?
Yes! We are still able to perform a lash tint, even if you have eyelash extensions on.
WHAT IF I HAVE LASHES FROM ANOTHER SALON, BUT WANT A FILL AT SKIN, BROW & LASHES?
We do welcome fill appointments from clients who have had their extensions applied elsewhere. Since we cannot guarantee the work of other lash artist, we
require the extra time that enables us to ensure you leave with the best possible work. The health of your natural lashes is our number one priority.
HOW LONG DOES A LASH LIFT LAST?
A lash lift can last up to 10 weeks.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM MY MICROBLADING APPOINTMENT AT SKIN, BROWS & LASHES?
First we have you schedule your initial microblading appointment, this appointment takes up to 2.5 hours and requires a 50% deposit to be made at the time of booking.
During your visit we will be using measuring tools to perfectly align your brows to your desired look and style. Before performing any actual microblading, your brow artist ensures that you are satisfied with the design for your eyebrows. The microblading follow up appointment must be scheduled 6 – 8 weeks after your initial microblading appointment.
The follow up appointment takes up to 1.5 hours. During the microblading follow up visit, any areas that have faded or decreased in size will be enhanced.
CAN I BOOK A COLOR BOOST APPOINTMENT AT SKIN, BROWS & LASHES IF I HAVE EXISTING MICROBLADING FROM ANOTHER SALON?

- Accutane and any other prescribed acne medications must be finished one year prior to receiving microblading.
- Do not take Aspirin, fish oil, niacin, vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen or blood thinners, unless medically necessary, 72 hours prior to your microblading procedure.
- Any brow tinting and/or waxing should be done 3 weeks prior to your microblading procedure.
- Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for 2 weeks before & after your microblading appointment.
- Do not receive any chemical peels, microdermabrasion, mesotherapy or intense skin treatments which may cause faster skin cell rejuvenation 3-4 weeks before the microblading procedure.
- Wash your hair the morning of the microblading procedure.
- Avoid consuming alcohol 24 hours before your microblading procedure.
- Do not receive any Botox treatments 4 weeks prior to your microblading procedure.
- Growth enhancement serums should not be used 1 month before or after the procedure has fully healed due to possibility of the color shifting.
HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING NORMALLY LAST?

- Days 1-3, apply a thin layer of the aftercare product you received on your visit with a cotton swab 3 times a day. Refrain from using an excess amount. This is to prevent infection.
- Days 1-7, using your fingertips, gently wash the area with a mild soap & water morning & night. Do not use a washcloth or anything abrasive on your eyebrows.
- Do not pick or scratch your new brows.
- Avoid physical activities that may cause sweating for the first 10 days.
- Avoid submerging your brows in water for the first 10 days. When taking a shower be careful not to have water pouring directly onto your microbladed eyebrow area.
- Avoid hot tubs, steam rooms, public pools and the ocean during the healing process.
- Do not use any other ointments, gels, creams or oils on your eyebrows other than the designated product that was given to you at your appointment.
- Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for 2 weeks before and after your microblading appointment.
- No retinols, AHA’s, exfoliating treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, Botox and any other strong treatments 6-8 weeks after your microblading procedure.
- Smoking will cause premature fading and the anesthetics will not last as long.
- Growth enhancement products should not be used 1 month before or after the procedure has fully healed because it may shift the color.

Fibroblast Skin Tightening
HOW DOES FIBROBLAST TREATMENT WORK?
Fibroblast is a relatively new innovation in the beauty industry in North America but has been used for a number of years in Europe. The extremely accurate hand- held device works by utilizing the voltage in the air between its tip and the natural gasses emitted from our skin, to form a plasma charge. A small electrical arc is created and instantly shrinks the targeted skin. The tissues retract and tighten giving you more youthful looking skin.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
As Fibroblast is more than a simple tightening treatment (skin volume is actually reduced), the effects should last as long as they would with invasive surgery. Like all surgical and cosmetic procedures, the effects of fibroblast are not entirely permanent as it does not stop any further ageing, but the positive results should last years, depending on the area treated. The positive effects of treatment will be noticeable immediately after the first treatment, but the final results will be seen after 8 weeks. For some, an additional treatment may be required after 8 weeks for maximum results.
Additionally, there are lifestyle factors that can prevent the result from lasting as long as they can, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and prolonged sun exposure.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DAY OF TREATMENT?
On the treatment day, it is recommended that no make-up is worn on the treatment area. You may take an anti-histamine 30 minutes prior to your appointment to help with swelling and continue to take anti-histamines for 2-3 days following your appointment.
A numbing agent is applied and left to take effect for up to 30 minutes. When the treatment area is sufficiently numb, the session begins with multiple connections of the fibroblast tip, spaced closely together.
You may feel some heat in the treatment area, which may be uncomfortable and slightly irritating. Treatment time is usually between 10-40 minutes, depending on the size of the area.
Immediately after treatment the area may be red and mildly swollen with small carbon crusts (spots).
You may experience a sensation similar to a sun burn which will likely last a few hours. Swelling may intensify over the following few hours and more so when eyes are treated and may last 2-3 days. The carbon crusts will lift within 5 -12 days depending on the individual and area treated.
Results gradually improve over the course of the following 8 weeks.
Following the treatment, you will be given thorough aftercare instructions to ensure that you see the best results. In the week following the treatment (or until the treatment area has fully healed) an exfoliating wash or cleanser should not be used. Instead opt for a pH balanced soap (i.e. Dove), and avoid rubbing the area.
